Vote for Science.

I know a lot of people aren’t interested in voting in the presidential, congressional, or senate races. I get that.  I’m not being facetious, I totally understand.

BUT if there ever were a race that mattered on level that will have deep, almost insidious ramifications, it’s the races for the State Board of Education – the people who work on curriculum for K-12 students. All seats are currently up for grabs.

There are people who don’t care about (or don’t “believe in”) science. There are people who don’t care about literacy levels. There are people who don’t care about the fact that Texas is regularly one of the two-three states with unbelievable teen pregnancy rates. They want to teach history through the lens of privileged white men in power.

Please, please, please….if you participate in just one race, make it this one.  The Texas Freedom Network has put together a voter guide. Read it, and vote.
